We will be offering the following dance classes:
2 ½ - 4 year olds classes:
This is a combination class offering tap, ballet, and tumbling. In this class we will help your child to continue developing their skills, and creative movement while involving your child in activities to help enhance their memorization skills. They will perform in the year-end production as tap dancers.
5-7 year olds classes:
We will be offering two different combination classes: Ballet/Tap and Hip Hop/Jazz. You may choose the combination class that best suits your child’s personality. You may also sign your child up for both classes.
Jazz
A high-energy form of dance that incorporates turns, leaps, technique, tricks and is a fun upbeat style of dance.
Tap
This style of dance teaches the fundamentals of sound, rhythm, and coordination with special shoes that ranges from classical to the popular rhythm tap.
Ballet
Is the technical base and foundation for all forms of dance. This class includes barre, center floor, strengthening exercises, and stretch to enhance your child’s foundation.
Hip Hop
This latest dance trend is a fun, energetic, freestyle dance that incorporates the latest popular music. (Age appropriate)
Lyrical
An expressive art form telling a story through movement, interpretation, and expression. This style of dance uses a strong ballet and jazz technical background.
Pointe
(Starts at age 12) For more advanced students. This form of ballet enables you to perform ballet technique in a special shoe that allows one to perform up on their toes.
Musical Theatre Dance
A class featuring any style of dance interpreting a song from a Broadway show or movie musical.
Acrobatics
Similar to floor gymnastics. This incorporates backbends, forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, front and back handsprings, front and back tucks, and aerials for the more advanced students.
Improv Acting
Is a form of theatre in which the improvisational actors use improvisational acting techniques to perform spontaneously. Improvisors typically use audience suggestions to guide the performance as they create dialogue, setting, and plot.
