Covid-19 Safety Procedures
General Wellness Check Upon Arrival:
No dancers or parents will be permitted to enter Steppin’ Out Performing Arts Center if they have been diagnosed or exhibiting signs that have been associated with the Covid19 virus such as, but not limited to coughing, shortness of breath, fever of greater than 100 OR come into contact with someone diagnosed or exhibiting these symptoms within the last 14 days. We will also be doing a temperature check of each dancer and hand sanitization upon your arrival before you enter the studios. We have also installed a touch free hand sanitizer in the hallway by the locker room.
We will continue to utilize our boxes in the dance rooms so every dancer has their own dance space. We would appreciate everyone practicing social distancing when it is possible... lobby, locker rooms, & hallways especially. While it is not required it is encouraged to wear a mask in these areas when not in the physical dance rooms. We kindly ask that parents and/or students please not congregate in the lobby. We have organized the lobby for social distancing. We ask that you please leave all chairs, couches, etc... where we have them placed in the lobby. Please remain in your cars when possible and drop off students at the lobby door.
The water fountains will remain closed at this time. Please remember to bring a water bottle to class or you can purchase a drink (water bottle, gatorade, soda) at the studio for $1.
We will conduct nightly cleaning of all utilized spaces as well as frequent cleaning of high touched surfaces. Ballet barres, tumbling mats, etc... will be cleaned after every class. We also have hospital grade air purifiers in the studio.
Payments/Questions (front desk):
We will no longer be allowing dancers or parents into the back office. The door will remain closed. All payments and/or questions will be done from the desk window as well as purchasing of any drinks or snacks. We appreciate your understanding in keeping our office space safe. We will continue to answer emails in a timely manner.
Please only enter the building through the lobby doors. No entering through Studio 4 or Studio 2 doors. This is the best way for us to monitor temperature checks.
We hope that everyone will help us follow these guidelines so that we can have a smooth year. Our guidelines and protocols are subject to change based on the CDC’s ongoing recommendations. We are looking forward to a fun and safe season at SOPAC!
