Steppin Out Performing Arts Center is lovingly called SOPAC by all of its family members.  Who are the family members you ask?   Everyone that signs up for class at SOPAC is family!!   I am proud to say that my son, Drake, and daughter, Demi, have been part of the SOPAC family for 5 wonderful years.
We came to SOPAC just to try out a Hip Hop and Jazz class. My Children met Miss Autumn and Miss Heather then our world changed.    What I saw on my kids’ faces when they came out of that first class is something I will never forget.  They were exhausted but still full of energy.  They were happier than when they went in. Both of them were Bursting with excitement and asking me when they could take another class.  They were hooked!  Miss Heather and Miss Autumn were just as excited to meet my kids.  They were so helpful with choosing classes that would fit my son and daughter.   It was the personal touch that we received from the teachers, staff, and owners that instantly made us feel at home.   SOPAC looks at each child’s abilities and helps them grow at their own pace.
In these 5 years, SOPAC has taught my children to dance from their heart, not their head.  They have learned that dancing is not about being the best; it is about dancing YOUR best.  Miss Heather and Miss Autumn have so much knowledge, experience, and love for the Arts.  They pass that on to all the children that come through those doors. As a parent, I love that this studio teaches dancers to encourage each other.  Every class that I have observed is full of hard work, sweat, encouragement, love, laughter, and FUN!
We have taken recreational classes and we travel with SOPAC COMPANY to competitions all over the south.  The SOPAC staff gives 110% to all the classes and gives the children the confidence they need to be the best dancer that they can be whether they dance competitively or recreationally.
This Studio is one of a kind.  They work overtime making the children feel welcome and offer many events, like Halloween Parties, for the kids to socialize and become closer.  I know that my children are better people because of their experiences at SOPAC.
I joined the adult dance classes this year as well and I am having so much fun.  At SOPAC your years of dancing do not have to end just because of your age.  They take beginner adults as well as experienced dancers.  I really enjoy performing on stage with this great group of Ladies and Men.  It keeps me feeling young and I get to enjoy something that my kids enjoy as well.
Thanks SOPAC for being a Home away from Home. We look forward to many more years with our SOPAC FAMILY!

Love you,
The Wilsons

Dancing has always been a HUGE part of my life. So when I found Steppin’ Out, I also found a family that was born in the world of dance, and could relate. They brought me under their wing and made dance more than just a passion, but a lifestyle. Heather and Autumn have taken all of their years of experience and love for dancing and built a sanctuary for dancers of all genres, color, and backgrounds. Not only have I personally grown in my 5 years here at Steppin’ Out, but I have been taught the benefits of hard work and determination. I can’t say that I could have never gotten this far in dance without the wonderful people here at Steppin’ Out Performing Arts Center. I know that when I take the next big step in my life, I will take with me the love and loyalty for dance and performing that I have gained here with me far into my future.

Thank you Heather and Autumn for everything you have given me. I have grown into such a confident and grateful individual because of all the wonderful times you have had with me in my time here. I appreciate you two so very much. Love you with all my heart!

From the moment we walked through the doors of Steppin' Out Performing Arts Center two years ago we felt at home. SOPAC has definitely become our home away from home. My children, Kensi, Dylan and Kylie and myself take classes. Not only do we benefit from the exercise and self-discipline but we are closer as a family. We have a commonality that brings us together in a special way. Our car rides to the studio during the week award us lots of opportunity to talk about our days and share information that they may never have told me before.
The friends they have made here are wonderful. They enjoy spending more time at the studio with them, than with school and neighborhood friends. Their relationships here are much stronger and rewarding.
The entire staff at SOPAC is topnotch. They want the best for the children and it shows. My children adore every teacher they have. Mrs. Heather and Mrs. Autumn have created an environment that oozes with love, talent, community and compassion. Every child there encourages the others to succeed. When someone accomplishes a new move, turn, flip, etc. everyone is there to watch and cheer them on. It makes your heart happy to be part of something so special.
The adult Ladies and Gents that I have the pleasure to dance with are always there for you. There are days when the last thing you want to do is go to dance after a rough day, but by the time you leave you can't imagine why you didn't want to come. I always leave in a much better mood than when I arrived.
There are so many choices in classes and that is the thing I love most. My family is involved in Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Boys Hip Hop, Acting, Acro, Ballet and Strength/conditioning (which is helping me restore flexibility that I have lost with age). My kids are getting a very well rounded dance education and I couldn't ask for more.
If you want a place that truly loves dance and families, then SOPAC is the place you need to be. Spend a day visiting here and you will never want to leave!
Mrs. Heather and Mrs. Autumn, thank you for the blessing of being part of this wonderful community!
